PACUARE INDIAN CAMP- 2 DAY OVERNIGHT TRIP

The 2 day trip begins further upriver
and gives you two full days to hour and open bar,
fresh bed limens, and all camp equipment. Our camp
is located in Huacas Canyon, the only camp at the
halfway point. This ruggedly beautiful site is owned
and cared for by the Silvia Chavez Family, the
indigenous Cabecar Indians of the Pacuare River
Valley. Silvia Chavez and her family welcome our
guests to stroll around and learn about their way of
life on the river. This magical camp offers extra
time to explore, swim, photograph and relax to the
sights and sounds of the rainforest. |
With structures designed for low impact
on the environment and crafted by the Indians, our
camp has kept the tradition of working with the
environment and not against it! All meals, happy
hour and camping equipment are included. We also
offer a 3 day option that features an overnight
backpacking trek to Silvia's home village in the
mountains where we sleep in the traditional
"Palenque" an enormous cone shaped thatched roof
structure. Price $220 per person. NO minimum.
