HORSEBACK, ARCHAEOLOGY AND NATURE EXCURSIONS LAGUNA BONILLA RAINFOREST JOURNEY Horse wranglers William Bell and Pilo Herra help us saddle up at the RainForest World Organic Banana Farm and Jungle Train Reserve in the remote village of Peralta. They guide us down the abandoned rails of the old Jungle Train, passing over bridges and through tunnels reclaimed by the rainforest. On the lower slopes of the Turrialba Volcano, we begin our ascension to the shores of Laguna Bonilla. Here you swim in the clear waters and take time for photographs and bird watching as your guides prepare a picnic lunch. Continuing around the lake with our trusty mounts, we take in the majestic views from one of Central America's premier horse trips. Finishing up back at the Farm, we tour the grounds and select tree ripened fruits to snack on for the drive home. This trip includes a Bilingual Guide(s), Horse and Saddle, picnic lunch and shuttle transportation from Turrialba. An exotic and rugged adventure! | | .
