WHITEWATER RAFTING TRIPS WITH AN EMPHASIS ON SAFETY

We are fully aware of the extra service that
cruisers need and deserve and we deliver that extra
service on our rafting trips.
HERE IS HOW IT WORKS -- You need to book with us at
least 48 hours before your trip and pay a $20/person
deposit over the web site. You will see a message
that says: "paying for 1 custom trip." Then you will
receive an automated response and a detailed E-mail
confirmation from us with your pick-up time. Our
start times are basicly when the ship docks. The
shorter Reventazon river trips can start up til 10AM
when necessary. We will pick you up with uniformed
guides and drivers right across the street from the
Terminal de Cruceros building. You may pay your
balance the morning of the trip with MC/Visa or
cash. In event of the ship not docking, we will
refund 100% of your payment back through your credit
card.
This trip can be WILD or MILD; you decide! "The
Upper River" features 11 Class 3 and 4 rapids in a
rugged river canyon. The waves are big and powerful
and it is definitely what you can call classic
whitewater rafting. The "Lower River" is a family
fun style run with a dozen Class 2 rapids. The
scenery is tropical jungle. Both options take about
one to one and a half hours on the water. The latest
departure for either of these trips is 10:00 AM,
shore time. You may wait until you get to the river
to decide which section you want, but we do
guarantee the decision will be up to you and your
group.
These trips include round trip transportation,
EXPERT GUIDE and a Guide Trainee each raft, safety
kayaker accompanying the trip, full orientation and
instruction before launch, all rafting equipment and
fresh tropical fruits and cold drinks at the take-out.
The price is $90 / person with a minimum of 10
persons.
This is of course far and away the best of the river
trips available to cruise ship passengers anywhere
in the Caribbean basin. There is plentiful
information and photos of the Pacuare throughout
this web site for you to familiarize yourself with
this treasure of a river. There are 25 Class 3 and 4
rapids in the 16 mile stretch we run and it is
suitable for beginners.
OUR SERVICE ON THE PACUARE:
Each raft will have an expert guide, AND, a guide
trainee on board. This makes things a lot easier for
you. We also have not one, but 2 SAFETY KAYAKERS on
these trips. Your safety and enjoyment will not be
compromised in any way with RainForest World The
Pacuare trips include round trip transportation,
Expert Guide and trainee in each raft, 2 safety
kayakers, full orientation and instruction before
launch, all rafting equipment, and buffet lunch.
The price is $125/person with a minimum of 4 persons.
RESERVING YOUR RAFTING TOUR WITH US: Many cruisers
face the dilemma when deciding with whom to book a
shore excursion; book onboard for a guaranteed
service, or, book on shore with a local tour
operator. Veteran cruisers know there are
substantial savings to be had by going local and
also are quite aware that substandard operations and
outright scams also exist. I fully understand this.
We had an office right in the Terminal de Cruceros
in Limon for 2 seasons. I pulled out of there
BECAUSE of the disorder and mayhem that ruled
supreme. I have found that the only way to attend
groups coming off of the cruise ships is with prior
reservations, made via E-mail.
Our prices reflect a
moderate savings over on board prices but our
service is a giant leap ahead of what the on board
